‘Revlon styler that changed my hair routine is at cheapest price this Prime Day’

As a fashion and beauty writer, I always consider it to be my duty to remain on top of what customers are interested in.

Now, if you’re anything like myself when it comes to styling your hair, it can often feel like a chore. For those who want a salon-blow dry at home, then there is the Revlon One-Step Volumiser.

Earning a legion of fans, this “game-changing” hair styling tool has been a viral TikTok sensation with thousands of videos dedicated to it. In fact, some users have even said that it is a cheaper alternative to the Dyson Airwrap.

Of course, I ended up buying this nifty hair gadget in last year’s Prime Day sale and immediately found that it changed my styling routine forever. It glided through my hair, helping to lift my often lifeless, thin hair into something a bit bouncier.

Luckily, if you want to try it for yourself, it is once again on offer on Amazon for just £29.99 down from its usual £34.33 – saving you 13 percent overall. It might not seem like the biggest saving, but it’s the cheapest you can buy it for right now, as Boots stocks it for £44.99, while Argos has it for £35.

If you’re not sure what the Revlon One-Step Volumiser is, it combines both a hair dryer and a styling brush in one. Its oval-shaped brush creates volume at the roots and I did find my hair looked more lively than usual after using it.

It also boasts two heat heat settings, alongside a cool shot that is ideal to keep your hair “sleek” and “smooth”. While it is quite chunky compared to other tools on the market, many shoppers have found it “lightweight” and “easy to use”.

Alongside myself, over 26,000 shoppers have provided the Revlon One-Step Volumiser with glowing five-star reviews for its ability to give “salon style results from home”.

One positive review read: “Quite simply I love this brush hairdryer! Having cut my hair to a short pixie bob, I needed something easy to use that would fight my frizz and give me much needed body. It is quite light, much better than my Dyson Airwrap for my now vastly shorter hair and, if you keep it on low and style a bit at a time, you do get salon-worthy hair. Only gripe is the shortish lead. I’m 5ft 7ins, so as long as I’m next to a socket, I have the cord length needed.”

Another shopper wrote: “Soooooo much better than Dyson. Spent nearly €500 on dyson multi styler which I sent back. No great shakes!!! This is sooo much better. I have such fine hair and when I used it first I was blown away (pardon the pun!!). My sister said I looked like I’d just come from the hairdresser. Just buy it. It won’t break the bank and your hair will look fab!!”

Someone else praised: “I have short fine and thin hair, which just ‘sits’ on my head. No amount of product gave it lift. This brush is brilliant! I can’t use the hot or medium settings, but the lowest setting is perfect. I get real bounce that makes my hair feel so different. A game changer!”

Beauty deal of the week

COSRX, the brand behind the viral Snail Mucin Serum, has another anti-ageing product shoppers are swearing by.

It is the COSRX 6 Peptide Skin Booster Toner Serum and has thousands of glowing reviews. Priced at just £19.13 for a 150ml bottle, this “powerhouse” serum uses a variety of key ingredients that leaves skin looking “fresh” and “youthful”.

Designed to be used as the first step in your skincare routine, this serum uses a blend of six peptides to improve skin elasticity, fine lines, pores, and radiance. It can be used as a “boost” before your other favourite serums and creams.

The COSRX 6 Peptide serum also boasts other skin-loving ingredients such as niacinamide and hyaluronic acid to target multiple other concerns such as hyperpigmentation and moisture. Shoppers also say their skin “drinks up” the lightweight texture for that “glass skin look”.

Currently averaging a 4.6 rating with over 800 five-star Amazon reviews, the 6 Peptide Skin Booster Toner Serum has been praised as a “holy grail” product that “diminishes” the look of wrinkles and fine lines.

One five-star review read: “Wow. Just wow. Amazing product! I am absolutely hooked. I use 4-5 pumps on my skin before serum. Makes my skin incredibly soft, and I’ve seen wrinkles get diminished by 80-90% since starting to use it. Most dramatic difference on my neck. Super impressed!”

And another gushed: “This product is a holy grail product. Great ingredients! Makes my face look fresh and youthful.”

Nevertheless, if you want to give the COSRX 6 Peptide Skin Booster Toner Serum (150ml) a go, you can bag it for £19.13 on Amazon here.

Some shoppers have found that the volumiser is far too hot use, leading to burnt hair, as one shopper wrote: “I have this product a 3* due to the handle being extremely hot during use, although the brush it’s self is good for giving the hair volume having a burnt hand afterwards ain’t a nice experience. I have bought one of these brushes previously hence why I purchased another and never experienced the heat from this specific one.”

You can try out the Revlon One-Step Volumiser for yourself by purchasing it for just £29.99 in Prime Day here.

Hot air brushes became a viral sensation due to their ability to give a salon blowout from home. Another option you could try is the BaByliss Flawless Volume Hair Dryer Brush for £35 from John Lewis.

Meanwhile, Argos shoppers can purchase the Coconut Smooth Hot Air Styler for just £38.50.
