Beauty editor picks eight new products worth checking out this month, from just €10

There is nothing better than a good, lightweight, everyday foundation. When you find one that is a pleasure to apply, and can be used every day without fearing the wrath of looking harsh in daylight, that’s when you know you have struck gold. That is very much the case with this recent launch from Inglot. With a luminous finish, UVA and UVB protection and available in 15 shades, this one’s a keeper.

2. LUNA Pro Haircare Smoothing Serum (€18, lunahaircare.ie)

As far as seasons go, summertime is not the easiest to maintain hair perfection. However, that’s made easier with LUNA’s latest offering: A leave-in treatment infused with vitamin E, sunflower seed extract and soy protein to nourish dry, damaged hair, while UV filter, humidity-resistant and thermal protection polymers work to combat humidity while shielding hair from both styling tools and environmental stressors. Kind of an all-rounder, and a great one at that.

3. Gucci Flora Orchid (€81-€161 depending on volume, Boots)

A new chapter for the Gucci Flora collection unfolds with Gucci Flora Gorgeous Orchid Eau de Parfum. In a bright yellow hue, this new scent’s distinctive qualities are freshness and creativity “to inspire women to live life in their own way,” as per the press release. For those of you without a tester to hand, imagine the kind of fragrance Miley Cyrus’ Malibu home might have and you’re on the right track.

4. Biologique Recherche Progeskin (€63, skinbyolga.ie)

Few brands boast the lore Biologique Recherche — the French band that eschews advertising and exists only by way of word of mouth.

Their latest offering, Progeskin, has a dual-action formula that revolves around two proteins: Progerin, an indicator of cellular senescence; and Klotho protein, a marker of cellular longevity. With regular use, the skin becomes firmer, toned, and more resilient. (They also recently launched Lifte Buste 3D, a plumping product we’re particularly excited about.)

5. Bare By Vogue Tinted Gradual Tan (€22, arnotts.ie)

Finally, a gradual tan with a tint, meaning no more streaks or patches. Instead, a natural-looking, golden tan that can be built to the desired intensity. Formulated to be used daily, this is the tan to bring with you on holidays, for those who wish to maintain a summer glow.

8. Veet Expert Range (RRP €10 – €11)

Hair removal brand Veet has released a slew of new products, each designed for effective hair removal for normal and sensitive skin.

Made up of Wax Strips, Hair Removal Cream (with a new and improved scent; not the kind there was way back when) and Miraculous Oil, this will help you on the road to hydrated, happy and hair-free skin. Available at Dunnes, Tesco and major pharmacies.
