I’m a huge fan of a less-is-more daily beauty routine. And there’s a common misconception that a flawless makeup look requires a full face of foundation.

Here are a few of my top makeup recommendations that I used on my client Laurie to help her achieve a natural, yet elevated makeup look:

FACE

Stila Stay All Day 10-in-1 Illuminating Skin Veil has been my go-to, must have, multi use product that helps to even out the complexion. Not only does it blur imperfections, it also softens the skin tone and texture, hydrates, reduces the appearance of pores and controls shine, reduces the appearance of redness, and offers an illuminated and glowing complexion.

It’s extremely light and breathable, and a little goes a long way. I used two pumps to even out Laurie’s complexion and reduce the redness.

Concealer is another makeup must-have and my secret weapon to creating a flawless makeup look. Here I used a few dabs of Benefit Cosmetics Boi-ing Cakeless Concealer to brighten under her eyes. The key is to blend it down with a buffer brush or beauty blender. Again, a little goes a long way.

To play up a glowy complexion, I lightly contoured her face with Rimmel London Natural Bronzer. It’s an affordable option that offers great results and is available in four shades.

EYES

To dress Laurie’s eyes, I applied Charlotte Tilbury Matte Eyes to Mesmerize in Smokey Taupe onto her eyelid to create depth and definition. I also curled her lashes and coated them with black mascara.
