Barry Keoghan fronts Burberry’s latest fashion campaign

The Saltburn star was announced as a Burberry ambassador earlier this year.

The Saltburn star, who was announced as a Burberry ambassador earlier this year, is wrapped up in a khaki puffer jacket complete with the signature Burberry check pattern (€1,790) in photos from the ‘It’s Always Burberry Weather’ campaign, an ode to “the robust elements of the brand’s garments and unpredictable British weather”.

In a social media clip, Keoghan can be seen sitting outside a café as he performs a monologue for a waitress, saying: “I think I get quiet a lot because, you know, I can’t find the words or words don’t describe that feeling that I’m feeling, so I tend to not speak because it just doesn’t make sense.

“I kind of get stuck for words and then tend to stay quiet for that reason,” he adds before asking her if he rushed his lines

She gives him feedback on his performance, recommending that he cuts out the second line, as the actor attempts to get back “into character”.

Burberry drafted a team of actors, musicians, and athletes for its latest project focusing on British luxury fashion house’s classic outerwear from anoraks and puffers to trench coats and parkas.

Olivia Colman, Cara Delevingne, Chinese actress Zhang Jingyi, English rapper Little Simz, and football stars Cole Palmer and Eberechi Eze make the cut, modelling pieces from the collection in photos shot by Alasdair McLellan.

The campaign also includes global pop-ups, window displays, in-store activations, and a revival of archive illustration in addition to a promotional video shot by director duo rubberband.

The two-minute advertisement follows Oscar-winner Colman as she drives around the English countryside in an olive-green Burberry quilted coat in the traditional barn design (€1,250).

Speaking about the new campaign, Daniel Lee, Burberry’s Chief Creative Officer, said in a statement: “Burberry is about protection, functionality and the outdoors. We are always inspired by our archive and the innovation and creativity of the brand.

“The campaign promotes the houses’ silhouettes: protective and enduring.”

Keoghan was announced as Burberry’s newest global ambassador in March of this year.

“I’ve been a fan of Burberry for many years now. It’s such an iconic heritage brand with innovation at its heart, and a commitment to supporting arts and culture. I’m very excited to be a part of this next chapter,” the Dubliner said of his appointment at the time.

It comes after Keoghan’s pop star girlfriend Sabrina Carpenter hailed him as “the greatest actor” around after casting him in her recent music video for the single Please Please Please.

The singer said it was “not even a biased opinion” to have him appear as her love interest in the music video

“I, genuinely — like, a not-even-biased opinion — I was like, ‘Who’s the greatest actor that I can find for this music video?’” she said, according to Page Six.

“And he was next to me in a chair. And he was so excited about it.”

The music video sees Carpenter sitting in a holding cell – having been arrested at the end of her Espresso music video – before catching the eye of her Summerhill beau as he gets thrown into prison.

The 25-year-old is seen waiting for him on the outside as he is later released, and the video follows the pair as she aids in him kidnapping a man and robbing a bank.

Keoghan then gets re-arrested and Carpenter is again waiting for him on the outside, before handcuffing him to a chair and putting duct tape over his mouth and kissing him.

“He likes the song, which is great,” she added, referring to the hit from her recently released Short n’ Sweet album.
