Inaugural South Asian Holiday Bazaar Takes Place Nov. 5 in Brooklyn Center

A holiday bazaar featuring South Asian small businesses will set up shop in Brooklyn Center this weekend.

About 30 vendors selling a variety of Indian and Pakistani clothing, jewelry, art and other goods will be on hand.

Organizers say it’s a great way to find gifts you won’t find anywhere else for the Diwali and Christmas holiday seasons.

“Nowhere are you able to find these different businesses together in one spot,” said Ramla Hasanali, one of the organizers of the event. “It is an opportunity for the Twin Cities community to shop and learn about small businesses in the South Asian community.”

The event takes place Sunday from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. at SEWA-AIFWA a South Asian nonprofit, located at 6645 James Avenue North. SEWA-AIFWA and the India Association of Minnesota partnered to host the event.
