A Turkey for Every Table

Katy Christian Ministries will be collecting donations for holiday turkey and ham for local families in need. The organization’s goal is to provide 1,200 turkeys and hams for the residents they serve, including veterans. They will also accept monetary donations and gift cards to Walmart, Kroger, H-E-B and other grocery stores.

Global Bites & Beats with Urban Harvest

Houston Ballet Nutcracker Market

Festival of Trees fundraiser

Cy-Fair Helping Hands is holding its second annual Festival of Trees fundraiser with a wonderland of decorated Christmas trees and wreaths, an opportunity to place a winning bid on trees and wreaths, a meal, live music by Hurry Sundown, a wine pull, and a silent auction. VIP tickets include holiday cocktails and appetizers before the event opens to the public.

Home for the Holidays

Kick off Old Town Spring’s annual Home for the Holidays event with a Christmas tree lighting ceremony located behind the Spring Historical Museum. Home for the Holidays will run every weekend from Nov. 11-Dec. 24 and include carriage and wagon rides, balloon art animals, photos with Santa Claus, and live music and dance performances on various dates.

Nutcracker Market

The Montgomery County Holiday Extravaganza is hosting a holiday shopping event with over 230 vendors. The Nutcracker Market will have women’s and children’s clothing; home, holiday and garden decor; gourmet food items; handmade and fashion jewelry; and fashion trucks.

Second Saturday at The Depot

The Tomball Depot Plaza hosts Second Saturday with a Christmas movie favorite, “The Grinch.” Children are encouraged to arrive early to enjoy a scavenger hunt and kid-friendly activities while supplies last. Attendees should bring lawn chairs, blankets and snacks.

Tejano Super Jam-The Reunion

Relay for Life

Relay For Life supports the American Cancer Society’s mission to celebrate life and save lives. During this event, community members can take turns walking around a track with luminaria bags to light up the path. Attendees can also cheer for local survivors or participate as a survivor.

The Woodlands Township is hosting its Veterans Day tribute to honor the men and women who have served in the nation’s military. This event features live music, speakers, a presentation of colors, children’s activities and the “My Hero Exhibit.” A special military care package donation booth will also be set up during the Veterans Day tribute.

Annual FPF Gumbo Cookoff

Gumbo chefs will battle for first place at this competition cookoff benefitting the Fulshear Police Foundation. This year’s cookoff, hosted at Cross Creek Ranch, will include gumbo samplings, family fun, outdoor games, zydeco music performances, and both live and silent auctions.

Markets for Makers

The event features more than 120 local makers specializing in home decor, fashion, art, design and food. On-site activations will include do-it-yourself stations, photo walls, beverages and bites from a variety of food trucks.

Brisket U BBQ Class at the Beerpark

Texas Leaguer Brewing will host a class teaching participants how to smoke Southern-style ribs six different ways—including beef plate short ribs, beef chuck ribs, beef back ribs, St. Louis-style pork ribs, pork baby back ribs and lamb ribs. The course will also show attendees how to butcher a rack of spare ribs and methods to candy, dry rub or sauce the popular barbecue meat.
