Sophie Lou Jacobsen’s New Bouquet Collection Proves Florals Can, In Fact, Be Groundbreaking

Un-groundbreaking as they may have been deemed, florals supersede the crash-and-regenerate waves of trends. It’s inevitable; they’re one of the world’s most aesthetically delectable treats. In Sophie Lou Jacobsen’s latest collection, she proves how amenable the flower is to glassware. Stems, bouquets—it’s all there (down to the thorn-like bumps upon the stem). Even the individual product titles sound dreamy; the Trumpet aperitif, the Cosmo coupe and cordial, an Angel flute, a Tulip wine glass, the Cosmo coupe and cordial.

The designer is known for her glassware, though she has dabbled in stainless steel, and even lighting. For this collection, she worked with clear borosilicate glass, fanning edges and adorning stems that mimic the ephemeral charisma of flora and fauna. Are they decor? Are they utilitarian? Yes and yes. Sold in sets of four, prices begin at $150 on the designer’s eponymous website. Not only do they have a place on your own wishlist, but the stunning sets are easily giftable, as well.
