Nov. 22:

• Deadline to order sandwiches from Pioneer Grange, 46 E. Keller St., Topton, ham and cheese or turkey and cheese, $5. PIck-up on Dec. 4 from 3-5 p.m. To order, call Tammy at 610-463-7213.

Nov. 25:

• Deadline to order poinsettias from Friends of Mifflin Community Library, 6 Philadelphia Ave., Shillington. Pickup Dec. 1 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Six-inch pots with five to seven blooms, three colors available, $9 each. Phone: 610-777-3911.

Nov. 27

• Leesport Area Historical Society Program, 7 p.m., Bethany EC Church, 308 Main St. Mike Jesberger will present a program on the customs and traditions of Christmas in the midst of the challenges of the tragic Civil War. Christmas served as an escape but also a reminder of our divided country and separation from loved ones. Parking in rear.

Dec. 1-2:

• Friends of Exeter Library holiday sale, 4569 Prestwick Drive, Exeter Township, Friday 1-4 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Wreaths, holiday decor and homemade cookies by the pound.

Dec. 2:

• Christmas bazaar, St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, 47 S. Whiteoak St., Kutztown, 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Christmas mice, cookies, crafts, books, puzzles, white elephant, eat in and take out food.

• Oley Valley Community Library annual holiday tour, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. $20 prior to event, $25 day of. Sacred Oak among featured locations. Information: Oleyvalleylibrary.com.

• Spring Valley Boutique, Spring Valley Church of God, 2727 Old Pricetown Road, Muhlenberg Township, 10-11:30 a.m. Most items are free. Featured items vary by month (depending on donations) but frequently include clothing for women, men and children, shoes, handbags, jewelry, etc. Anyone looking to donate used items to this ministry can do so during boutique hours.

• Christmas bazaar and craft show, St. Thomas Church, 536 N. Main St., Bernville, 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Vendor sales, doll clothing and accessories, jewelry, cards, holiday decorations, candy, cookies, jams, soup, egg sandwiches. Information: 610-488-6702 or [email protected]

• Christmas bazaar, St. Peter’s United Church of Christ of Molltown, 219 Maidencreek Road, Richmond Township, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. A variety of cookies for sale, craft vendors, a white elephant sale and turkey potpie for purchase. Potpie should be pre-ordered by calling 610-529-1893 by Nov. 28. New this year is a take-home free picture with Santa for anyone bringing a new toy, unwrapped, for Santa to deliver.

• Holiday open house, Muhlenberg Community Library, 3612 Kutztown Road, Laureldale, 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Enjoy refreshments, model train display, visit from Santa and the Grinch, music, crafts, story time and basket raffle. Free for all ages.

• Christmas bazaar, St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 548 Old Swede Road, Amity Township, 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Pies, apple dumplings, cookies, chow chow, crafts, fresh green wreaths and cemetery boxes, attic treasures and a photo booth with Santa from 10-2. Dec. 3:

• One by One Cat Shelter holiday open house, 1984 Mount Laurel Road, Alsace Township, noon-4 p.m. Meet adoptable cats and kittens. There will be light refreshments, raffles and vendors. Donations of canned Fancy Feast, canned Friskies, dish detergent, copy paper, Purina ProPlan Adult or Kitten Chicken and Rice (non shredded) appreciated.

• Leesport Area Historical Society Museum Open House, 128 Main St., Leesport, 1-4 p.m. Visit the 1858 schoolhouse, which served the community until 1961. Tour includes classroom circa 1940-’50s and museum room including a rare printing press and Quaker marriage certificate dating 1757. The new display features many antique kitchen and household hand tools, bells, canning materials and even a couple of circus tent sledge hammers. Santa will be visiting.

• Breakfast with Santa, Geigertown Fire Company, 3433 Hay Creek Road, Robeson Township, 7-11 a.m. For more information, visit the fire company’s Facebook page or geigertownfireco.com. All proceeds benefit the fire company.

• Ringgold Band Christmas Concert, Reformation Lutheran Church, 3670 Perkiomen Ave., Reiffton, 2 p.m.  A reception will follow in the parish hall. The band has been performing live concerts for over 171 years, proudly making it the oldest continuously performing regimental band in America.

Dec. 4:

• Berks Photographic Society meeting, GoggleWorks Center for the Arts, 201 Washington St., Suite 326, 7 p.m. Society member Valerie Hoffman will talk about how to photograph “Holiday Lights.” It’s the most wonderful time of the year, when colorful lights and decorations can be found all around. Dec. 9:

• Christmas house tour of seven homes western Berks County, noon to 4 p.m. Tickets are $20 per person, available at the Robesonia Community Library, 75A S. Brooke St.; Murdough’s Christmas Barn; and Ryeland Gardens. Sponsored by the Friends of the Robesonia Community Library. All proceeds benefit the library. For more information, call 610-693-8039.

• 25 cent sale and indoor flea market, Calvary United Church of Christ, 1231 Route 100, Washington Township, 8-11 a.m. Clothing, soes, books, household items and more.

• Delaware Valley Golden Retriever Rescue open house, Golden Gateway facility, 60 Vera Cruz Road, East Cocalico Township, 10 a.m.-noon. Meet and greet the golden retrievers and dogs that are available for adoption. Staff is on hand to answer all questions, and food is available for purchase. No admission charge. No photos. • Strausstown Volunteer Fire Company breakfast, Strausstown Community Campus, 50 East Ave., 7:30-11:30 a.m. A full breakfast menu will be available. Proceeds benefit the Apparatus Fund.

Jan. 6:
