Free Carousel Rides, Music, Pet Photos, More: 3 Holiday Markets Coming To Hoboken

HOBOKEN, NJ — For the next three Sundays, more than 80 vendors will participate in a holiday market in Hoboken that will also feature, at various times, free carousel rides, music, pet photos, and other activities.

The market takes place under the 14th Street Viaduct that leads from Hoboken to Jersey City Heights and Union City. It will be held Dec. 3, 10, and 17, 2023.

In its fifth year, the series will feature artisan vendors from all over New Jersey and the surrounding areas showcasing their creations, including clothing and accessories, jewelry, artisanal foods, art, home decor, pet products, children’s items, and bath & body products.

“Main Street Pops is proud to showcase such a diverse and talented array of creators and entrepreneurs” said Co-Founder Tracy Gavant. “Our mission is to create events that bring people together, and we have been overwhelmed by the support we have received from the Hoboken community these past few years.”

Each weekend, a variety of fun family friendly holiday activities will add to the festive holiday vibe:

Dec. 3: The Holiday Markets kick off with a Letters to Santa Fundraiser for the Hoboken PD Annual Toy Drive and Pet Photos with Santa by Wise Animal Rescue.

Dec. 10: The HBA Holiday Community Concert will showcase Hoboken local talents.

Dec. 17: The Holiday Series finale will offer free carousel rides and feature a DJ Holiday Dance Party powered by the beats of Tim “Dawg” Nelson, both sponsored by The Hoboken Business Alliance.

“The Holidays are a time of wonder and celebration. The Hoboken Business Alliance is pleased to sponsor the Carousel, Dance Party, and Community Concert during three straight weeks of holiday shopping and festivities at the Artisan Market under the Viaduct. We hope everyone who visits creates lasting memories this season as they shop, dine, play, and stay here in our Mile Square City, said Roxanne Earley, executive director of the HBA.

The markets will be open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the first three Sundays in December under Hoboken’s 14th Street viaduct at 1401 Adams Street.

The 2023 Main Street Pops Holiday Market Series is presented by The Rockefeller Group and sponsored locally by Dental Associates of Hoboken, Hackensack Meridian Medical Group, The Hoboken Business Alliance, and Renewal By Anderson. They are produced in cooperation with Mile Square Theatre.

Main Street Pops is a woman-owned pop-up event business with a mission to bring back the communal feeling of “Main Street USA” by filling open spaces with hyperlocal events that create community connection through creative placemaking.
