Aritzia Community partners include 10 organizations such as Big Brothers Big Sisters of Canada, the Urban Native Youth Association, Cause We Care Foundation, Out My Closet, and others.

According to Jessica Forster Broomfield, Director of Programs, Big Sisters of B.C. Lower Mainland, the donation of warm outerwear is an essential element of support for local families.

“This donation will provide the gift of warmth for the youth and families that we serve this winter, helping to alleviate a significant financial burden during the current cost of living crisis,” Broomfield says. “It will remove a of great deal of stress for families, allowing them to focus on what matters most, helping the young people they support to realize their full potential.”

The Gift of Warmth donations also have benefits that extend far beyond just providing warmth during the cold winter season, according to Celen Arthur, National Partnerships Director of Mamas For Mamas.

“They also provide emotional warmth, hope, and a sense of belonging to those who receive them,” Arthur says. “We are genuinely thankful for this support as it has made a substantial impact in the lives of the mothers, caregivers, and communities we serve.”
