Ireland AM presenter marries KIN actor in fairytale wedding in Donegal

Surrounded by their nearest and dearest, the loved-up pair finally said ‘I do’ after being together for years.

Síomha’s celeb pals were all in attendance also as influencers Niamh Cullen and James Kavanagh were among the lucky few who got the call up.

Cathal, a former MMA star who was coached by James Kavanagh’s brother John at SBG is now better known for his acting including his hard-man enforcer role in hit show KIN.

It wasn’t just one big day for the celebrity couple and their celebrity guests. It was a full weekend celebration as the next day saw the newlyweds join their friends for another hooley with trad music, step dancing and a DJ booth.

The big day comes four years after Síomha popped the question in the Irish tradition of proposing on a Leap Day.

“Scariest thing I have done in my whole life but it was so so worth it. I couldn’t be happier. Báite i ngrá leat. #leapyear,” she wrote at the time after popping the question.

Cathal was once part of an MMA clique that included Conor McGregor and Gunnar Nelson, but after a few back-to-back defeats, the Dubliner retired and focussed on setting up a successful salad bar in Blanchardstown before turning to acting.

He quickly earned roles in Strike Back and Ray Donovan but it will be his turn in KIN that will have earned him his most fans.
