Inspired by Iris van Herpen’s “sensory universe”, the show’s fantastical beauty looks by Nars make-up artist Karin Westerlund featured organic extensions of the gowns to the face.

As we’ve come to expect from Chanel, black bows held the focus of the hair, the super-sized silk ties adorning glossy ponytails crafted with fluid waves.

A floral feat, Giambattista Valli’s designs inspired by the gardens of Rajasthan extended to the models’ beauty looks, with petals showering their iridescent skin.

The look at Georges Chakra brought some colour, with swoops of burnt pink placed across the eyelids alongside full cheeks of rose gold blush.
