Empire Beauty School celebrates Pride Month with fashion show
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — In celebration of Pride Month, Empire Beauty School in Grand Rapids held its Decades of Pride Fashion Show with models showcasing the trendy looks of each decade going back to the 20s.
You’ll see some 20’s flappers, a couple of goth looks, and a man representing Ken of the Barbie craze.
13 ON YOUR SIDE’s Emily Scarlett served as a judge for the fashion show.
Educators with the school say the cosmetology industry is one of the most inclusive career fields. They said they encourage their students to embrace individuality and be proud of who they are.
