There’s no doubt about Meghan Markle’s influence on the modern world. From starring in Suits to launching her own lifestyle brand, she’s a multi–hyphenate. She has a chokehold on the fashion and beauty industries as well, turning heads with each handbag, lipstick, and pair of shoes she wears. Markle is most often seen in sleek cap-toe Chanel flats, but even a style icon like her needs a pair of comfy kicks. I even wore my own version on a 2.5-mile trek through Boston, and each step felt like I was walking on clouds thanks to the grippy sole, airy upper, and trendy design

Essie’s Ballet Slippers Nail Polish may just be one of the most popular colors in nail history—and it’s rumored to have been worn by Markle on her wedding day. Queen Elizabeth was allegedly just as big of a fan, with A-listers like Helen Mirren giving the pretty pale pink their stamp of approval. And while I’m no celebrity, it’s even my go-to shade for all occasions.

As a native Californian, I have a soft spot for Los Angeles-based brand Mother Denim—and so does Markle. She’s worn the flattering, comfy jeans on countless occasions, making a strong case for the straight-leg styles.
