The new ‘Glazed doughnut’: Hailey Bieber debuts the perfect autumn manicure
It’s been a busy period for Hailey Bieber, who welcomed her son, Jack, last month. On the business side of things, the founder of beauty brand Rhode also recently entered the make-up category with a range of complexion-enhancing blushers.
In between the throes of new motherhood, Bieber debuted a fresh new manicure to once again inspire beauty moodboards everywhere. Over the weekend, her longtime manicurist Zola Ganzorigt shared a photo of Bieber’s midnight-blue tips on Instagram, with the caption, “Midnight Mantra type of fall”.
The hue is a departure from Bieber’s usual style, which often veers on the lighter side of the colour spectrum. Ganzorigt is the woman behind Bieber’s cult ‘Glazed Doughnut’ nails, a high-sheen silver chrome that glistens under the light and is a nod to the beauty founder’s ‘glazed skin’ philosophy (a polished complexion achieved with plenty of hydration).
As the weather flits between post-summer warmth and grey, rainy skies, a deep navy is the perfect choice for anyone looking to embrace autumn’s richer tones without fully committing to inky nails. While shades of cinnamon and cocoa are popular at this time of year, deep blue is unexpected, and looks striking on all skin tones.
On the runways, Tory Burch embraced this very hue for her autumn/winter 2024 show, paired with neutral tones on the eyes and a gleaming complexion.
