Jewelry for a cause: Westport store sells items to benefit Israeli emergency service organization

A Westport accessories store has found a way to support the Jewish community during the Israel-Hamas war.

Eleven 11 is selling a collection of jewelry pieces created by one its vendors, Marlyn Schiff.

All proceeds will benefit the American Friends of Magen David Adom, Israel’s national emergency service organization.

Anne Delorie, Eleven 11’s owner, says she wanted to find a way to help those most in need.

“The response has been incredible we’ve tripled our orders, we just restocked yesterday after selling out for a third time. I think people are really touched,” says Delorie.

More than 1,400 people in Israel were killed and 229 people were taken hostage during an Oct. 7 incursion by Hamas militants. Israel has responded with massive bombardments in the Gaza Strip that has led to thousands of deaths.

News 12’s Angelica Toruno will have more starting at 6 p.m.
