7 Celebrity Outfits To Inspire Your Holiday Attire

The Thanksgiving leftovers are thoroughly gone, the Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals found, and the calendar is about to flip over to the final month of 2023. That’s right; the holiday season is officially in high gear! Like me, you are no doubt trying to sort through your busy calendar and plan a plethora of office parties, school events, family gatherings, and other assorted festive celebrations. Of course, once you have the logistics figured out, there is only one logical next question: “What am I going to wear?”

Luckily for all of us, the celebrities are out and about in full force promoting their latest projects once more, with plenty of fashionable outings for awards season already beginning, along with magazine celebrations, talk show appearances, red carpet premieres, and so on. With these appearances have come some truly standout celebrity-style moments that have inspired me for my holiday dressing and are sure to give you some inspiration as well. Below, see 7 outfits to channel as you prep for your next holiday soiree:

Margot Robbie Embraces The Evening Cape

Margot Robbie continued her Barbie-inspired run of outfits with a Prada ensemble inspired by a 1964 Barbie doll. The look was darling from head to toe, but I am most drawn in by the evening cape, a unique addition to the traditional evening outfit that i encourage you to channel.

Lupita Nyong’o Stuns In Silver

The premiere of Beyoncé’s Renaissance film was a fashion celebration of all things silver and chrome, as Lupita Nyong’o illustrated with her silver sequin blazer dress. Sequins and metallics are perfect for the holiday season, and I think a blazer dress with a pair of opaque tights will make for a chic party look.

Zooey Deschanel Twirls In Tights

Zooey Deschanel always knows how to stun in classic retro style, and this look at the Baby2Baby Gala is no exception. A velvet black dress paired with tights and Mary Janes will always be a winning holiday look, and glitzy details like crystal jewelry and a belt dress it up an extra notch.

Greta Gerwig Wows In Winter Whites

Greta Gerwig showed how to wear beautiful winter whites in a dressed up way at the Gotham Awards. The key is finding the right shade of white (yes, there are many shades of white) for your skin tone and balancing the look out with accent colors. She made this a perfect holiday look by wearing a moody dark red lip.

Olivia Rodrigo Feels The Fringe

If you are prepping for an outing that requires dancing, you can’t go wrong with a fringe dress like the one Olivia Rodrigo wore to the GQ Men Of The Year celebration. Fringe creates incredible movement like no other fabric, after all.

Vanessa Kirby Rocks The Red

There is nothing quite like vibrant red during the holiday season. Even if you aren’t getting as dressed up as Vanessa Kirby was above for the Napoleon premiere, I encourage you to be on the lookout for bold red if you need a new holiday piece, whether that is a red dress, suit, purse, or even just that perfect shade of red lipstick.

Emma Stone Dons An Evening Suit

For those who prefer suits to dresses, Emma Stone illustrated how to wear a stylish suit for evening. The secret is in the tailoring, with Emma wearing a slim leg and ankle cut that shows off her chic stilettos. She also opted to wear a low-cut blazer with just a peek of a lace camisole showing through, making the look more nighttime-appropriate.
