In late summer of 2022, Nicholas Galitzine headed to New York for a chemistry test with Anne Hathaway for a romantic comedy named The Idea of You.
He was up for the main role of Hayes Campbell, a singer in a fictional boy band called August Moon.
The twist was that he had to improvise a dance with Hathaway to a song he chose.
Hathaway had some bad experiences with chemistry tests where she had to kiss multiple male actors, so she suggested this dance instead.
Galitzine explained that dancing together was a good way for her to gauge their compatibility.
Galitzine was nervous about picking the right song but eventually settled on “Always Alright” by Alabama Shakes.
However, once in the room, facing an actor he deeply admired, the connection was immediate and unlike anything he had ever felt before.
Galitzine’s striking good looks – enhanced by trendy features like his eyebrow slit and hoop earring – have earned him the monicker of ‘Internet’s Boyfriend’
He portrayed a closeted British prince in the recent blockbuster “Red, White & Royal Blue” and played an all-American jock in the film “Bottoms,” which revolves around a lesbian fight club.
This spring, he captivated audiences as he portrayed a seductive character who romanced the King of England in the dark and sultry miniseries “Mary & George.” And now, he’s adding “heartthrob of a boy band” to his list of accomplishments.
