‘I love the mob wife look – and there’s a reason I always wear real fur’

The mob wife aesthetic is everywhere right now, with the fashion trend taking over TikTok.

According to retailer Boohoo the #mobwife hashtag has gained a whopping 160.9 million views, and #mobwifeaesthetic has received 130.6 million views.

However, Diamond Diva Princess, a ‘legendary findom icon’, who is given cash from ‘money slaves’, has been sporting the look long before it went crazy online.

The aesthetic is all about emulating the style of female characters in Mafia movies and TV shows – donning formfitting dresses, flashy, gold jewellery and old fur coats. And Diamond Diva Princess knows a thing or two about dressing like an icon.

You will regularly see Diamond Diva Princess, from the US, wearing tight white dresses with fur draped over her, teamed with short Hollywood curls and of course, scarlet lipstick. The stunner is also a fan of leopard print, vintage style nightwear and glitzy gowns, and she said that isn’t about to change soon.

Talking about her style inspirations, she exclusively told Daily Star: “From an early age I was inspired by the Golden Age of Hollywood; Marilyn Monroe, Mae West, Jayne Mansfield, Jean Harlow, Zsa Zsa Gabor. Marilyn Monroe’s character Lorelei Lee in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes is a great inspiration to me along with the character of Diamond Lil created by Mae West, two diamond loving blondes!

“Barbie Doll was another of my earliest icons, and I had a vast wardrobe in my doll collection which included fur wraps and fur coats!”

Diamond Diva Princess says Marilyn Monroe has to take the top spot for her though, when it comes to inspirational icons. She added: “Marilyn Monroe for sure is my top fashion icon, I just adore her.”

Asked what she thinks about other people jumping on the ‘mob wife aesthetic’, Diamond Diva Princess says it will always be in fashion – especially fur.

She told us: “Fur goes through flux in regard to trends, but it’s always a consistency with those who appreciate a luxury aesthetic. Right now it is trending with the new mob wife aesthetic, but more importantly it is now appearing again on the runway, due in part to popular culture.

“Not long ago some of the fashion houses stopped working with fur, after laws passed in NYC and California regarding the sale of fur. There has recently been quite a bit of buzz about all the fur we are seeing on the runway from Gucci and others who previously stopped working with fur. I personally am glad to see it, but regardless of trends, fur is really here to stay. It is timeless elegance.”

Talking about her preference for real fur over fake, she claimed: “Fake fur is not environmentally safe as it fills up our landfills and does not biodegrade even after hundreds of years. Real fur is sustainable and ethical and can last for years if properly stored and cared for.”

Diamond Diva Princess even admits she has a ‘wing in her walk-in closet’ just for her ‘luxurious fine furs’. She says: “I am always fine-tuning and adding to my rare collection which includes five spotted furs and rare exotic furs like Jaguar, several minks in a range of shades, including a white mink by Dior, the softest of chinchilla furs, and even a rare exotic Colobus monkey Art Deco fur jacket.

“I also love fur accessories and have a collection of fur scarves, fur trimmed handbags, fur trimmed gloves, and even the occasional fur accented shoes!”

Asking where her interest in fur comes from, she explained: “My interest in fur is a natural progression from My early interest in Golden Age of Hollywood glamour. I live and breathe glamour!

“What I consider to be My very first money slave gifted me with several furs including Norwegian Fox, and a beautiful black broadtail coat. Shortly after this I discovered a leopard skin pillbox hat at an estate sale and had to have it, and this is how my collection began.”

Talking about the most expensive item in her wardrobe, Diamond Diva Princess said many of her clothes are custom-made for her. She said: “Much of my wardrobe is comprised of couture items custom made for me, inspired by certain of my golden age of Hollywood icons, such as Mae West who always had her clothes custom made and custom tailored to her exact proportions.

“I love expensive shoes and luxury furs, especially rare furs. One of my most prized and expensive furs is my full length Lynx, valued at over $25,000 (£20,000).”

Diamond can afford such luxury items thanks to her work as a ‘financial goddess’ – as her ‘money slaves’ get a sexual kick out of sending her cash.

Asked what kind of gifts her ‘slaves’ have bought for her in the past. She said: “My money slaves pay for everything my heart desires. They pay for my beautiful clothes which I call my ‘Movie Star Wardrobe’.

“I collect true vintage and some high quality vintage reproductions. One of my favourite true vintage acquisitions to this date is a pristine gorgeous 1930s black silk velvet ensemble with original silk sash. Vintage Anne Klein and Giorgio Beverly Hills are a favourite obsession. I love expensive shoes and luxury furs.

“My preference in leather handbags and gloves is for the highest quality leather in classic old Hollywood stylings. For designers I especially love Chanel, Gucci and Givenchy.

“My paypigs also love to pick up the tab on what I call my ‘Crown Jewels’. I desire only the best of the best; top of the line jewellery – I love Tiffany’s, flawless diamonds, and muzo Colombian emeralds. My piggybanks love to buy gorgeous jewellery like this for me.”
